Guidance for Remaining in Good Standing

Once you have achieved Associate Fellow/Fellow of the HEA. there is a requirement to Remain in Good standing. Your portfolio will enable you to demonstrate your good standing via a reflective commentary/account.

We suggest that your good standing account could incorporate:

Part 1: Your Good Standing account in which you will reflect on your development since your initial professional recognition/last Good Standing claim. This needs to evidence sustained engagement with the UK PSF Dimensions and the relevant descriptors for your current category Fellowship.

Consider the following format and feel free to adapt this so that it works for you.

1. What I did

2. Why I did it

3. What I learnt

4. What my future plans for development are

The above can be a case study, a critical incident or relate to a mix of CPD activities. The overall length of the Good Standing account should be around 1000 words or equivalent.

Part 2: A record of CPD activities completed in this period. If you are keeping a record of such activities already, please just add the file or the link to it at the end of your Good Practice account.
